Course Overview

This program is geared towards producing competent graduates imparted with knowledge, skills and experiences for application in policy marking and decision making in managerial level in the ring of human resource management. MBA in Human Resource or MBA HR programme imparts knowledge and training in managing the workforce of the organization. Specifically, the program in Human resource management is a diverse field which, broadly, deals with the administrative functions of an organization, from hiring and recruitment, employee engagement and retention, strategic planning, benefits and payroll administration, and liaising between senior management and staff.

An MBA in HRM program will help you build a human resources skillset that extends beyond the competencies taught in traditional MBA or human resource management master's degree programs. The programme is flexible and convenient as it considers for employees working in the private and public sector due to the Blended Learning Model (BLM). With BLM approach, the students who are not able to attend physical classes can choose to learn and accomplish all assignments through online essentials like Moodle and zoom for 16 weeks. The students who opt for BLM; it requires them to appear physically at the campus during class tests, final exams, research proposal and dissertation presentations. Entry Requirements

  • At least a Second-Class Degree of the Institute of Accountancy Arusha or an equivalent degree from a recognized higher learning Institution.
  • Candidates with unclassified degree (e.g. M.D.) Shall have at least a B grade average in the subject of the intended Master?s Programme.
  • A Candidate who holds a Pass Degree may also be considered for admission if: His/her undergraduate performance in the proposed area of study was at least B grade and He/she scored B grade in the project work/research as one of the conditions for accomplishment of Bachelor Degree.
  • An applicant with a Postgraduate diploma in the respective field of study.
  • Candidate with Second Class Advanced Diploma of Accountancy Arusha or from any other recognized higher learning Institution.

Teaching methods

The programme is delivered through a physical class session and blended mode which allowing you to fit your studies around other commitments. A wide variety of resources is made available via the online study platforms, including: lecture notes, videos,specialist resources from the IAA library and discussion forums.
